André Taylor
André Taylor is an award-winning business leader and one of
today’s most dynamic voices on the subject of personal and business
success. He’s a dynamic speaker and the founder of several successful
and interesting businesses. He also counsels and coaches growing companies
and the entrepreneurs behind them to help them flourish.
André started his management career on Wall Street working
with financial information services companies such as Dow-Jones Telerate
and Reuters where he led the company’s emerging television division
in the late 1980s. He has a brilliant record as a strategist and dealmaker
and was responsible for many groundbreaking deals and alliances during
his tenure.
In 1990 he began focusing full time on his entrepreneurial ventures
and founded Interactive Sports, one of the country’s leading
sports media companies. Throughout the 1990s, Interactive Sports led
the market by creating technology tools for sports teams, interactive
services for sports arenas, unique content and services for sports
fans, and a collection of leading media brands including Urban Sports
Network, Women’s Sports Channel. More than 3 million people
a day at one time relied on content from Interactive Sports.
Later André Taylor started Taylor Insight Group, offering products
and services in personal development, and executive and organizational
leadership, and The Taylor Grand Company, (taylorgrand.com)
a unit aimed specifically at guiding firms seeking to target affluent
consumers and professionals. He’s committed to helping other
entrepreneurs benefit from the lessons he’s learned in creating
and building high-value ventures from scratch.
André writes and lectures extensively on the subject of entrepreneurship
and business growth, He’s the author of the business-building
system, 81 Lessons of The Natural Entrepreneur and a complete
catalog of audio, video, and workbook titles. His clients include
many of the world’s most prestigious organizations including
Microsoft, SAP, ERA Real Estate and others. He’s been featured
in wide range of national media such as Advertising Age, Brandweek,
Entrepreneur Magazine, Fox Television. The regional
business journal, Crain’s New York Business named Mr. Taylor
one of New York City’s top minority executives and Black
Enterprise Magazine named Mr. Taylor its 2002, Business Innovator
of the Year.
Mr. Taylor is particularly committed to helping young people from
modest backgrounds successfully move into corporate America and entrepreneurship.
He serves as the Entrepreneur In Residence at New York City’s
LaGuardia Community College and is a member of the foundation’s
Board of Directors. Mr. Taylor is also a founding member and advisor
to Business For Youth a non-profit organization recognizing
achievement and leadership in young people.
